Amplifiers / Power Supplies • Mosfet amplifier 10-12 meter radio swr.

Hi Folks.
A few questions ??
My mosfet amplifier has a decent swr at the antenna even though I travel a wide frequency range. (24-30 MHZ ) The amplifier is rated up to 2.5 to 1 swr which is high. The swr between the amp and the radio is too high as the radio needs 1.5 to 1 or better. This condition is almost making any swing on am or fm non existent. So my questions are
1. How can I reduce the swr between the 10-12 meter radio and the mosfet amplifier ??

2. Should I run an swr meter between the radio and the mosfet amplifier and one between the amplifier and the antenna.

3. Would a tuner fix the whole problem between the amp and the antenna.

4. Not the best idea but should I set the swr from the radio to the antenna and then remove the meter and install the amplifier running it with no meter just checking things frequently.

It is a high drive amplifier that can take up to 35 watts drive !! The radio does about 35 – 40 watts depending on the mode of operation and the swr at the given frequency.

Any help would be great..
