Swanman, very true. I agree with you. Now on CB on channel 38 LSB when the band conditions are rolling, there are many people out there to pass emergency communications when phones go offline and some have emergency power from big home generators. A system must be in place, a big CB 38 club that is a step up from the old REACT. I can get on my old Uniden Washington running 12 watts on my iMAX 2000 and talk all over the country. There are even locals here that use channel 38. Some organization could be set up on that channel and tied to a new training website or forum to get it off the ground. The resources are there to jump start it. Can it be done? Mayb, a little maybe but it will take a lot of work on everyone’s part to get on board.
